Frequently Asked Questions

  • We provide locksmith services throughout San Luis Obispo County, including Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and the surrounding communities. If you're unsure whether we serve your area, feel free to give us a call.

  • We are a locally owned locksmith business serving our community directly. When you call us, you are speaking with our team—not a national call center or third-party dispatch service.

  • Rekeying means adjusting the internal pins inside your existing lock so that old keys no longer work. After rekeying, the lock will operate with a new key while keeping the same hardware installed on the door.

  • Yes, rekeying is usually recommended when moving into a new home. Previous owners, contractors, neighbors, or service providers may still have copies of the original keys. Rekeying ensures that only your new keys will work.

  • The cost depends on the number of locks and the type of hardware involved. Because every situation is different, we typically provide pricing after learning a little more about the job. Feel free to call us for a quick estimate.

  • We do this. Many businesses use master key systems, which allow certain keys to open multiple doors while other keys only open specific areas.

  • Yes. Many businesses choose to upgrade to keypad or credential-based entry systems to eliminate the need for physical keys. These systems can make it easier to manage employee access and change permissions when needed.

  • Yes. Many commercial buildings require door hardware that complies with accessibility standards, including properly functioning door closers, lever handles, and exit devices. We can help ensure hardware operates safely and meets accessibility requirements.
