Frank’s Lock & Key is a family-owned, San Luis Obispo County-based (Arroyo Grande) commercial and residential locksmith company. Established in 1969, we provide mobile service for rekey and master key systems, hardware installations, access control, lockouts, door closers and safe work. My name is Luke Fosmire

I am 40 years of age and I’ve been locksmithing for 30 years! A second generation licensed locksmith, I began working with my dad at the age of ten. I take a tremendous amount of pride in my craft and look forward to providing you with exceptional service.

  • Rekeying means adjusting the internal pins inside your existing lock so that old keys no longer work. After rekeying, the lock will operate with a new key while keeping the same hardware installed on the door.

  • Yes, rekeying is usually recommended when moving into a new home. Previous owners, contractors, neighbors, or service providers may still have copies of the original keys. Rekeying ensures that only your new keys will work.

  • The cost depends on the number of locks and the type of hardware involved. Because every situation is different, we typically provide pricing after learning a little more about the job. Feel free to call us for a quick estimate.
